Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in a fantastic game for beginning level gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, not like most other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not need to fret about any other, more advanced individuals winning their moolla.
A further Pai Gow benefit is the fairly leisurely game pace, beginners are able to take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied choices.
It is also much simpler to play for a very long time with only a small bit of money since, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the croupier receives seven cards face down.
A five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
