Poker Aces refers to two aces being dealt pre-flop. It’s the best possible pre-flop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But regardless a great many gamblers find themselves on the losing end when given this hand.
When you are given a pair of Aces, you just don’t fold before theflop. You’re positioned with the greatest possible hand at this stage of the game. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I’d say no to that.
Always remember, you’re trying to acquire as much profit from this strong position. You need to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will simply scare most competitors into dropping out before putting a wager.
If you are in the initial position (first or second to actually bet), you will lay a single bet. Anyone with decent cards will call, with luck somebody might raise. If someone has made a raise do not jump to re-raise or call, wait for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your tactic will be to get rid of any player that could get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise aggressively, if you are fortunate you’ll trick 1 player into thinking that you are bluffing.
If you are in the center or late spot (near the last to place a wager) you’ll watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Guard your hand by making the other players fold after the flop. If you don’t abolish your competitors you risk squandering your hand.
